Karli
Karli

5/6/09 3 months, as of yesterday that Karli came to live with us. She is becoming more easy going & comfortable with her new home each day. Still on a diet but getting plenty of exercise to slim down as per doctor’s orders. She still has all her claws & we have learned to trim nails. If her name hadn’t been Karli we would have definitely called her “Gabby” because she talks A LOT. Likes to tell you all about her day when we come home from work. Thanks for letting her be part of our family. -Mike & Becky D.

Here is a letter that "Hutch" sent us..... Hi Nancy & Colleen!! I wanted to tell you about my first few days with my new family! The first day was very exciting; I met my new brother and sister (Storm and Juny). Storm and I hit it off right off the bat, we are the same size and age I really love playing with him in our backyard! Juny was a little scared of me at first, but I won her over with my kindness and wagging tail. She and I cuddle on the couch and by the woodstove now!! It didn't take me long to figure out that my new parents will let me walk all over them, the couch, bed, & wherever else is comfy. Daddy said he would build me a stool so I can get on the bed a little easier. My first night I was so excited I could hardly sleep, everyone wanted to sleep with me!! I started out on mom and dad's bed and eventually went to sleep with dad (who ended up on the couch, because EVERYONE was on mom and dads bed). Today I went for a big car ride with mom and dad to take our friend Marty home. He is a really nice guy who thought that I was just great. He said that it felt like I have always been there (& my mom agrees), because I fit so perfectly into my new family. My people brother and sister (Slade & Autumn) hug me and I love the attention!! I have very good manners and I don't jump on people when they come through the door. I have a special door that I go out of to go potty and I am doing very good!! Storm showed me how to do that. I love my new home and I am very protective of it. I let mom know if I hear ANYTHING outside, she says she loves that and she loves me!! THANK YOU for saving me!!! Love Hutch
