There are many different ways in which you can support the Ashtabula County Humane Society-everything from making a direct donation to support or efforts to searching the Internet all help us carry out our vital mission to the community we serve.

This is an Appeal for help from your Ashtabula County Humane Society.

The main goal of our animal shelter is to care for the abused, neglected and abandoned animals in our county until permanent loving homes can be found.

The ongoing economic downturn has impacted shelters too, with fewer donations coming in. We are feeling the weight of a sluggish economy that is putting a strain on our capacity to help. We totally rely on donations to keep our shelter open.

We have been in existence since 1913 but we never had a shelter till December of 2008, relying on foster homes. Our shelter is located at 2806 Route 307, Austinburg, Ohio. Due to lack of support, we are in serious danger of closing and it has taken us so long to get a shelter to house our rescues. We rely on the generosity of donations and a small group of volunteers to help these animals receive a 2^nd chance.

This letter is an appeal for donations. Supporting our shelter with your donation will help with food, medical care, behavioral training, spaying/neutering, and keeping our shelter open.

Please consider making a tax-deductable donation to help us keep our shelter open so that we can continue serving our community by rescuing the animals that need our help, now and in the future.

Our membership period runs from April to March of each year.

Astabula County Humane Society membership fees for the 2008/2009 year are:

Junior Membership (Age 18 and under) $1.00 per year	Single Membership $15.00 per year
Couple/Family $25.00 per year	Lifetime $300.00 one payment
